Birchwood Students Win First Place at Power of the Pen State Championships
The 8th grade students couldn’t have written a better ending than this.
In May, our students were at Otterbein University competing against 500 students from 236 schools. There were three 35-minute writing rounds. Those scores were tallied, then the top 50 from each grade advanced to the 30-minute fourth round.
Our students are FIRST PLACE State POP champs!
They are a special group and have had a long year full of weekly practices, critiques, competitions, joys, disappointments ... and like the students do every year, they just kept coming back for more. Congrats to them all. They earned it!
Thank you all for your support!
