BECKY BYNUM
Ms.
Becky Bynum teaches advanced vocabulary to fifth and sixth graders, and
Latin and Greek to middle school students. She received a B.A. with
high honors in Greek / Plan II (liberal arts honors program) from the
University of Texas at Austin. Ms. Bynum received a Ph.D. in Classics
and an M.A. in Latin from the University of California, Berkeley. There
she taught Latin, Greek, and courses in Greek and Roman literature,
culture and history at Berkeley as a graduate student instructor. She
also taught at Beloit College, Tufts University, and John Carroll
University. Afterwards, Ms. Bynum spent three years at the American
School of Classical Studies at Athens, Greece, where she studied Greek
archaeology and history through field trips in Greece and Turkey.
